Thoughts of suicide

Please read this poem if you or someone you love is having thoughts of wanting to kill yourself, die, harm yourself

Hey, can we talk?
About those heavy thoughts that linger,
Whispers that make everything feel so low,
Let’s break it down, take it slow.

Passive Thoughts

Sometimes it’s like wishing to fade,
To sleep forever, feeling that shade,
Longing for peace, a break from the strain,
Not wanting to die; just feeling drained.

You might think, “What if I just disappeared?”
A quiet escape from the chaos you’ve feared.
These thoughts come when life feels too tough,
But deep down inside, you’re still strong enough.

Active Thoughts

Then there are times when the thoughts get loud,
Plans forming in shadows, heavy and shrouded.
You start to envision how it could end,
And in those moments, it’s hard to pretend.

Feeling trapped in a world that seems dark,
Those feelings of hopelessness leave a mark.
But listen closely to this plea:
You don’t have to face this alone; there’s help, can’t you see?

Seeking Relief

These thoughts can be signals, not just a goodbye,
A desperate search for relief, a longing to fly.
You might think that ending it all is the way,
But I promise you, hope is waiting, come what may.

Finding Help

So reach out to someone, let it be known,
Talk to a trusted ear, or a place that feels home.
There are therapists ready to lend you an ear,
Crisis hotlines, support groups—help is near.

In the school halls, there’s help to be found,
Counselors waiting to lift you off the ground.
You’re not just a burden; you matter, you see,
There’s so much more to your story, believe me.

Hope Awaits

Remember, there’s always a way,
Hope can bloom brighter with each passing day.
Take that brave step, let the world in,
You’re not alone; together we’ll begin.
